We invited an African storyteller, Miso’shi into school to tell the children a traditional African story. She helped the children create their own group stories using ideas from her story. The children decided to set their stories at the bottom of the sea and instead of a sky god they created their own sea god. All the children then worked with a sculptor, Helen Bean, to make a large 3D model of this sea god which was hung from the hall ceiling.
